Interventional Radiology Office

Welcome to the Interventional Radiology Division of Medical Imaging of Lehigh Valley (MILV). We are proud to have been serving the Lehigh Valley for over 30 years, offering our patients minimally invasive, image-guided diagnostic and interventional procedures that have reduced recovery times compared to conventional surgical intervention. Most procedures are often completed as an outpatient with some requiring an overnight hospital stay.

MILV Waiting Room

The providers at MILV strive to meet our patient’s needs and offer physician-to-physician consultations in addition to office hours for direct patient care. Our 10 physicians, 2 nurse practitioners, and 5 physicians’ assistants practice across multiple locations across Allentown, Bethlehem, the Poconos, Pottsville and Hazleton.

The outpatient office is conveniently located across the street from the LVH-Cedar Crest Campus. Our dedicated office staff assist patients with expedited scheduling of office consultations and procedures and they will make every effort to accommodate your busy schedule.

MILV Interventional Radiology offers a full spectrum of services, including arterial/venous vascular intervention, treatments of the liver, kidney or bone cancer (chemoembolization, radioembolization-Y90, cryoablation/microwave ablation), uterine fibroid embolization, treatment of pelvic congestion syndrome, varicocele embolization, prostate embolization, pain injections, IVC filter implantation/removal, treatment of biliary obstruction, gastrointestinal treatments (feeding tube placement), biopsies, placement of drainage catheters, and vertebral augmentation.

Our Neurointerventional Radiology (NIR) service has been at the forefront of advanced stroke and aneurysm care for over 25 years. Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest was one of the first three JCAHO-accredited Comprehensive Stroke Centers in the country. Our NIR service offers the latest in endovascular stroke care, including mechanical thrombectomy for acute stroke, coil embolization of cerebral aneurysms, and flow diversion. We treat arteriovenous malformations and fistulae of the central nervous system, and also provide services for patients with pain, such as image-guided steroid injections and vertebral augmentation (also called kyphoplasty or vertebroplasty).

Our team has strong working relationships with our Oncology, Surgery, Neurology and Neurosurgery Partners and participates regularly in multi-disciplinary conferences to discuss cases. This helps us to assure the most appropriate treatment options are presented to patients, for the best possible outcomes.

Our office typically requires referrals but can often work with your health care provider to meet your needs. The Interventional Team looks forward to working together with you to return you to optimal health.
